dtac supports the efforts by the Ministry of Public Health and the Ministry of Transport to use the Central Vaccination Center as a major COVID-19 inoculation center. dtac is deploying mobile base stations to bolster high-speed internet connectivity at the Central Vaccination Center at Bang Sue Central Station and transportation hubs connecting to it, including Victory Monument, Central Plaza Ladprao, BTS Morchit, and Chatuchak Park.
The Central Vaccination Center is located on the first floor of the Bang Sue Central Station with an area of 14,294 sqm. Opening May 24, this is set to be a temporary COVID-19 vaccination center with a capacity to inoculate 900 persons per hour or 10,000 persons per day.
Mr. Sharad Mehrotra, CEO of Total Access Communication PCL or dtac, said, “dtac is committed to supporting the national agenda of vaccinating the general populations as quickly and conveniently as possible. Mobile connectivity at the Bang Sue Central Vaccination Center will be critical for the public’s convenience and the effective operations of frontline healthcare workers. dtac will therefore ensure high speed internet for all and support our customers’ registration process via all our channels.”
With details to be announced shortly, it is expected dtac customers will be able to register themselves and two additional members of their household for vaccination via dtac’s channels, such as the dtac App, dtac website, service halls and the dtac call center.
Moreover, dtac deployed additional teams and resources to ensure optimized network performance nationwide, particularly at field hospitals across the country.
