Tipayarat Kaewsringarm, Chief Sales Officer of Total Access Communication Public Limited, or dtac (right), together with Narongsak Lertsuptawee, Managing Director of Forth Smart Service Plc, or FSMART (left), the operator of Boonterm kiosks, offer a new service allowing customers to buy dtac prepaid SIM cards from the kiosks.
Customers can conveniently choose the numbers by themselves and register their SIM cards by having their faces scanned for identification, a process required by the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission.
Customers are able to find dtac SIM cards at Boonterm kiosks in their neighborhoods, in front of convenience stores, at the schools, and at the markets in five pilot provinces: Samut Prakan, Nonthaburi, Khon Kaen, Nakhon Ratchasima, and Chiang Mai. After this, dtac is ready to expand the service to all over the country, providing access for various target groups.
Aside from this newly launched service offering prepaid SIM cards, dtac prepaid customers can top up their accounts or buy additional packages. Postpaid customers can pay their monthly bills at Boonterm kiosks. The services align with the current consumer trends of people getting used to online transactions via both their mobile phones and available kiosks. Recently dtac customers used digital channels over 60%.
