KTC launches the newly improved and revamped TapKTC mobile application into the finance industry to meet the needs of over 3 million member accounts for enhanced customer experiences through a modernized, simple and aesthetically pleasing design, along with customizable features and highly safe
And secure log in system with fingerprint scans and Samsung Pass’ standard biometric iris recognition function, for the first time in Southeast Asia and as the 3rd country in the world.
Mr. Tosapong Rangkawara, Vice President – Credit Card Business, “KTC” or Krungthai Card Public Company Limited, states said, KTC revamped the TapKTC application interface to complement the rapid and ephemeral changes of technological trends.
KTC prioritized 3 distinct areas: smart simplicity, stability and security, by adding functions that enhance customer experience for members across the country. Besides the modernized design, KTC emphasized accessibility and aesthetically pleasing features which members can select from and customize to one’s liking.
In addition, KTC improved advanced security levels to further reassure the safety of members through the option of Biometrics Identification besides providing a pin number.
Members can now experience enhanced log ins to access personal information using the dynamic keyboard, or make transactions through the TapKTC mobile application using the fingerprint scan, and the brand new bio-metric iris recognition with the Samsung Pass service.
KTC is Southeast Asia’s first and only financial institute, and the 3rd in the world to endorse this technology in collaboration with Samsung. Current users of the Samsung Galaxy models with the infrared iris recognition feature, including the S8, S8+ and Note 8, can access this technology from today onward.
Abiding to the Bank of Thailand’s policy, user’s biological information will be securely stored in the FIDO (Fast Identity Online) Cloud and will not be stored in smartphone devices.
TapKTC’s log in method using iris recognition with Samsung Pass is currently under the Bank of Thailand’s Regulatory Sandbox trial-run, and from the third trimester in 2017 until 2018, TapKTC will become a crucial method for proactive marketing activities that most efficiently connects customers.

Members can now view all information at a single location, My Account, regardless of the number of KTC cards in possession, including card accounts or points balance checks. Collective card balances for all cards will be displayed, including the remaining offset balance.
Members will also enjoy customizable information management features, which includes the option to receive notification alert for transactions done via card payments for a set balance amount/ the option to receive notification alert for payment deadlines in a timely manner/ temporary blockage of cards in the case of lost or misplaced cards/ the option to set up spending limits for online purchase transactions, as well as the ability to easily register or change the method of billing options by themselves.
Besides this, customers can redeem rewards points, including Royal Orchid Plus miles / Air Asia / Bangkok Airway’s Flyer Bonus / Cash Back for products and services, or for donations/ transfer of rewards points between cards without a minimum points value / conveniently manage monthly payments with the KTC FLEXI installment plan to pay for products and services online
And make online 24 hours withdrawals anywhere and everywhere with the KTC credit card or the ready to use “KTC PROUD” Revolving Loan card, where withdrawals will be transferred directly into the existing Krungthai savings account.

These enhancements is in accordance to KTC’s latest brand concept, Smart Simplicity, with an aim to create great Customer Experience (CX) through 3 main modes:
1. Smart Design a modernized, simple and aesthetically pleasing design with user menus located in appropriate positions for quick access to information, functions and language options.
2. Smart Process complicated and unnecessary customer pain points are eliminated, and customers will spend the least amount of time in all steps in the application. This includes the registration method which is now reduced to only 2 required information fields, or the My account page, where customers no longer are required to manually include account information – information for every KTC products will be automatically displayed after registration is completed. Every functions included in the application can be completed in a few taps.
