dtac has expanded its mobile signal around Grand Palace, Sanam Luang, and the locations of the Royal Crematorium replicas in preparation to support people attending the Royal Cremation Ceremony of King Bhumibol Adulyadej on October 26, 2017.
Mr. Prathet Tankuranun, Chief Technology Officer, Total Access Communication PLC or dtac, says, “To express loyalty and gratitude to His Majesty Late King Bhumibol Adulyadej during the Royal Cremation Ceremony period, dtac has expanded our network bandwidth around Grand Palace, Sanam Luang, surrounding areas.
Including Phra Pinklao Bridge, Ratchadamnoen Avenue, Pak Khlong Talat, and Banglamphu, and also at Royal Crematorium replicas, temples, and designated venues across Thailand, at which people will travel to offer sandalwood flowers.
dtac’s extended mobile coverage includes various parking lots and pickup and drop-off facilities, such as Nang Lerng Race Course. dtac has also prepared a special taskforce to monitor the network around Sanam Luang and the Royal Crematorium.
dtac has been in full preparation to facilitate and provide convenience for the public in highly congested areas, with additional mobile units, small antennas, parameter tuning, and 24-hour network support team.
